Water Pressure Test is necessary before Ignite Gas and Hot Water (Steam) Boiler
Gas and hot water (steam) boiler components are installed and inspected the quality of finished product. after long-distance transport, handling, installation, collision and injury are inevitable. So,the water pressure test is necessary after installation. Practice has proved that we can find defects of the boiler through the water pressure test.Appropriate measures must be promptly taken to ensure the safe operation.
The water pressure test of Boiler contains the rated working pressure of pressure test and ultra-pressure test.The overpressure water pressure test of Boiler (including the superheater) is 1.25 times of the rated working pressure of the drum. The overpressure test pressure of reheater is 1.5 times of its entrance rated working pressure.
The overpressure water pressure test is needed when there is one of the following circumstances:
1.Before starting the new installed boiler
2.Pressurized components have been modified or replaced
3.The running boiler should test once every six years (and after overhauling)
The working pressure water pressure test is needed when there is one of the following circumstances:
1.the working pressure of water pressure test is needed after big or minor repair.
2.If furnace spare more than 30 days,the working pressure of water pressure test is needed before the ignition.
